I don't think they screwed up the cast for the Hunger Games! No offense meant to anyone who thinks they did, it's your own opinion, but it just seems like people should stop judging actors by how they look. It's okay in the stages of production now, because you are just casting to picture the characters in your head. But once the director and porducer and casting director is cast, you just have to trust that they will base it on acting.

 

Take Eric, for example. They have to find one talented guy to play him. He is a complex character, right? I mean, he has to be a leader, yet not have too many leadership qualities. He has to be driven and evil on the inside, yet hard and unforgiving on the outside. You cannot just pull some random goth guy with piercings all over off the street to play him. I would so much rather see him be played by a preppy blonde man than a guy that looks the part exactly, but just can't carry through with the amazing character. Sorry. No offense to anyone. I'm not trying to start anything, just sharing an opinion

I hope they make it good. I have seen so many books turned into movies get ruined. Take Inkheart for example. Great book but the movie wasn't that well done. Divergent was awesome so they better not screw it up.

i sooo agree with you Jessie... and i know that you know who this is! Even though I have never read Inkheart, everyone says its nothing like the movie. They better make the movie good!!!! Oh and WHY IS IT COMING OUT IN MAY?!?!?!

Yeah, I agree. I LOVED the Twilight book, but the movie was just plain cheesy. (no offence meant to anyone who likes it) Oh, and Chemical Catasrophy, I read all of those books and absolutley adored them! Both series are in my top favourites! I agree about the characters being messed up on looks, but Lauren is right. The movies haven't came out yet, so who knows how the will turn out?!  I'm CRAZY excited about it anyway. Divergent is my all time favourite!!! WHOO HOO!

Awe no fair!!  Lawl I agree though,  it is such an amazing book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I legit couldn't put it down!!!!! I read it in one night!!!!! It caused me soooo much stress the next day because of the end!!!! I mean,  the whole idea is finnshed, but there is still sooooo much to wonder!!!!!!! Love it though! I like all these people that would be great for Tobias and Tris but the movie on IMDb.com says that the movie is coming out in 2015. That means they are still writing the script and casting so they haven't even started to film. They can;t get people who are 16 now or they will be 19 by the time they film.

I love the idea of Max Irons playing Tobias, BUT He will be like 30 years old by the time the film comes out and that's just weird.... he's only supposed to be 18!!! For Tris, I imagine her being played by Hailee Steinfeld or someone like here. I know that Tris is supposed to be blonde, but I just can't picture her like that..... I picture her with a light brown hair color. Overall, Hailee Steinfeld (I don't know how exactly to spell her name O.o)  is a great choice. She's a good actress for these types of movies. Although, I'm not sure her personality would be the best fit, but she does sort of look the part. They better cast Tobias PERFECTLY or else I will cry. HE IS AMAZING AND THE ACTOR HAS TO BE PERFECT. The end.
