Divergent Book and Movie Fansite
Kate Winslet recently talked to MTV’s Josh Horowitz while promoting her new film “Labor Day.” During the interview Horowitz asked her about her role in 'Divergent' and she had this to say about taking on her role as widely disliked Jeanine Matthews:
"I didn't have any hesitation at all," she said of her role in what could be a three-part series. "It was such a great script. It's a fantastic book."
Believe it or not her kids had a hand in her taking the role of Matthews:
"My daughter is going to be 13, and my son is almost 10, and they're getting to that age where this is the type of literature they're going to be reading very soon," she explained. "In fact, my daughter, two days ago, came home from school and went, 'Mom! You're never going to believe it. Rufus came up to me at school and said, 'Is your mom really in 'Divergent'? Is there going to be a premiere? Can you get me a ticket?' ' My daughter suddenly [had a] new-found respect. 'My mum is actually really cool.' I'm just going to go with that. I did it because I wanted my kids to think I was cool." How awesome is that? I can’t wait to see Kate portrayal of Jeanine how about you?
