Divergent Movie Budget and Shooting Time Reported!
As we previously reported the Divergent Movie will be filming on location in Chicago. Filming will be taking place for 60 days, starting in April, and is bringing a big crew of Los Angeles based film people to the windy city. This team includes at least 20 department heads from L.A. will be part of the production staff moving into Cinespace, including set decoration, props and set construction.
But that is not all that is big...how does a 40 million dollar budget sound? That is 3 million more than Summit Entertainment's first Twilight movie. But 38 million less than Lionsgates's Hunger Games budget of 78 million. This figure has not yet been confirmed by Summit.
ReelChicago reports:
The first Hollywood feature since 2010’s “The Dilemma” to shoot entirely in Chicago is scheduled to start filming in Chicago. Teen action/romance sci-fi “Divergent,” from Red Wagon Entertainment, is scheduled to start filming here in April for 60 days.
Budget is a reported $40 million.

I think 40 million sounds reasonable, since the book doesnt go really deep within the action scenes, and its manly manageable with CGI

it said "fliming will be for 60 days" but the book is sooooooo intense i think its gona take more then 60 days to film an plus they spend half the day in make up and eating and running lines.

omg!!! ilitrly jst found out this ws going to be a movie a week ago so i decided toread the book. BEST. DECISION. EVA. the book was just so fast pased that when you know yo have to go to bed becuse its 3 in the orning on a scho night,you just DON'T!! i can not WAIT to see this o the big screen ^--^
