The City of Chicago is as much of a character in the Divergent Series as Tris and Four, so we thought I'd be cool to show you some of the places of Tris' Chicago!
This is what Chicago looks like today. Beautiful skyline, wonderful lake and just an all around great place to live. Tris' Chicago is a little different. It has a marsh for a lake, and it's probably a little smaller and enclosed by a big fence.
The Hub is the main gathering point for all the factions. This is where Tris goes for the choosing ceremony! Today it's currently called the Willis Tower, but was the Sears Tower for many years before that, and it's what Veronica calls it in Divergent.
Currently you can show your Dauntless side by going out on one of the enclosed balconies that allow you to look straight down!
Team Dauntless's Nancy took this pic!
The El, it's Chicago's train system. Most cities have subways, Chicago has an elevated train system.
This is what Tris, Four and the other Dauntless members would jump on and off of to get to where they are going.
Everyone loves the capture the flag scene. When Tris and Four climb the ferris wheel, so cool! The ferris wheel in Chicago is on Navy Pier. Here are a few pics so you can get a feel for what Tris and Four were up to, and how totally Dauntless it was of them both!
The John Hancock Building is home to one of Tris' big Dauntless moments, zip-lining off the top of the building! As you can tell, this took a lot of courage to do, it's not a short tower. The picture of the road and the lake is a picture of Lake Shore Drive, and approximately the view that Tris would have had looking down from the John Hancock building. Who wouldn't want to zip line and take in that view?
On the way to see her brother in Erudite, Tris talks about Michigan Ave. It's a long avenue, but this is part of it. It's one of the "must visit" streets in Chicago.

Tris and Caleb talk in front of a big bean when she goes to visit him at the Erudite head quarters, this is the bean! Its in Millennium Park and my best guess from the description in Divergent, the buildings that are behind The Bean in the picture
would be the Erudite head quarters.
Insurgent locations coming soon...

Comment by Taylor Jourdan on January 28, 2013 at 10:05am For those of you who have never been to Chicago and haven't been able to get a close look of the Bean before, see my profile picture for a glimpse of UNDERNEATH the Bean...and you'll understand why I believe that this needs to be at least breifly glimpsed during that scene between Tris and Caleb.
